2025 juco defensive lineman Zavion Hardy planning fall visits

2025 defensive lineman and On3 four-star prospect Zavion Hardy enters his final juco campaign with a lot of expectations. That includes the expectations he has place upon his own shoulders.

After a successful freshman campaign at East Mississippi Community College, the Georgia native is considered among the top juco defensive linemen in the country. So he wants to go prove it on the field this season and he has confidence that he’ll do just that.

“I feel like I’m gonna have a pretty good season,” Hardy said. “With me being the No. 1 ranked juco defensive lineman, that has boosted my confidence and I have to prove myself. Where I play just depends on the situation and I could be at three-tech or at defensive end.”

Owning numerous SEC offers, Hardy experienced a trio of official visits in June and that included Arkansas, Mississippi State and South Carolina. Hardy recently locked in another SEC official visit for the month of September and is eyeing another fall official visit in the SEC.

“I just locked in my official visit to Alabama game for their game with Georgia,” remarked the 6-foot-5 and 265-pound Hardy. “I believe that is September 28th. I will probably take a Florida official visit when they play Kentucky and that would be in October. Then I’ll go see Mississippi State play this year and I want to make a South Carolina game.”

Hardy has been a long-tome target for Mississippi State and is one of the Bulldogs’ top remaining needs in the Class of 2025. He shared his thoughts on connections with head coach Jeff Lebby and defensive line coach David Turner

“It’s still going good with State and they’re still recruiting me pretty good,” Hardy said. “They’ve been on me hard since my visit there. My relationships with Coach Lebby and Coach Turner are getting stronger and it’s still great love there with them.”

The message from Mississippi State’s staff to Hardy has been clear and simple, as well. And they’ve also relayed the importance of needing him in the trenches for his college career.

“Coach Lebby has just wants me to make the right decision,” added Hardy. “Coach Turner has said the same thing and he said I can do big things at State. Coach Turner feels like he can develop me the best and he wants me there.”

For several months now, Hardy has not listed any favorites or singled out any particular programs on his radar. But he has been consistent with his decision date and what factors will help determine his college decision.

“I still plan to make my decision on my birthday, November 29th,” noted Hardy. “I’m really not sure what all I will look at the most with my factors. But when I visit schools I look to see how the staff and players treat each other, and how tight they are. But I haven’t cut down my list or anything like that yet.”
