2025 Edge Trent Sellers discusses his Nebraska offer and visit plans

Trent Sellers is a name that people need to get to know. The 6-foot-6, 233-pound Edge with an 85-inch wingspan from Mobile (Ala.) Faith Academy recently received an offer from Nebraska. He’s also taken a trip to Georgia and has visits set up for LSU and Mississippi State. The offer from Nebraska on April 1st came out of the blue.

“We only talked a little bit before the offered,” Sellers said. “I was very thrilled when they offered me. Coach Keith Williams is who I offered me over the phone.”

Sellers doesn’t know much about the school or the football program at Nebraska. However, he is familiar with a player on Nebraska’s current roster from the same area.

“I know someone who plays for Nebraska,” Sellers said. “A player named Jimari Butler plays the Edge position for them. He went to Murphy.”

There are plans to get to Nebraska in two weeks for their spring game for an unofficial visit. He will also visit a pair of SEC schools on the weekends before he travels to Lincoln.

“I will be visiting Nebraska for their spring game on April 27th,” Sellers said. “It won’t be an official visit. I am also planning visits to Troy, LSU and Mississippi State.”

Sellers visited Georgia in early April and Troy on April 6th. He will also visit Nebraska on the 27th, LSU on April 13th, and Mississippi State on April 20th.
