2025 Big 12 Women’s Basketball Tournament: Updated matchups, results, schedule, TV
It’s March and that means the postseason is here in women’s college basketball. The Big 12 Women’s Basketball Tournament is tipping off on Wednesday, March 5th, for what should be an exciting conference tournament.
The Big 12 Women’s Basketball Tournament is scheduled to be held in Kansas City, Missouri at the T-Mobile Center. For basketball, the arena boasts a capacity of more than 18,000 people. The first game is also scheduled for 12:00 p.m. ET/11:00 a.m. CT on Wednesday, March 5. The Big 12 Championship Game is then going to be held on Sunday, March 9.
Ahead of the Big 12 Basketball Tournament, here is a look at the schedule and what TV network the games can be found on. This will also be updated with results and matchups as the games are played.
Round 1
Game 1: No. 13 UCF 81, No. 12 BYU 69
Date/Time: 12 p.m. ET, March 5
TV: ESPN+
The UCF Knights earned their first ever Big 12 Tournament win by beating the BYU Cougars to open the Big 12 Tournament. It was a close game going into the fourth quarter. That’s when the Knights pulled away with a massive fourth quarter. That charge was led by Kaitlin Peterson who had 35 points on the day.
Game 2: No. 9 Colorado 66, No. 16 Houston 58
Date/Time: 2:30 p.m. ET, March 5
TV: ESPN+
Despite entering in last place with only one conference win all year, Houston fought until the end in the second game against Colorado. The Cougars trailed by double digits but outscored the Buffaloes by nine points in a fourth-quarter comeback attempt that fell short. Lior Garzon and Jade Masogayo combined for 35 of Colorado’s 66 points in the win.
Game 3: No. 15 Arizona State 82, No. 10 Cincinnati 75
Date/Time: 6:30 p.m. ET, March 5
TV: ESPN+
With a 19-point lead in the fourth quarter, Arizona State looked like it was in line for a first-round win. But Cincinnati stormed back and got within three points with just over a minute to go. The Sun Devils eventually got the late free throws they needed to seal the victory and advance to Round 2 of the Big 12 tournament.
Game 4: No. 14 Texas Tech 57, No. 11 Kansas 53
Date/Time: 9:00 p.m. ET, March 5
TV: ESPN+
In a defensive battle, Kansas and Texas Tech went down to the wire in Wednesday’s nightcap. It was a one-possession game in the final minute, but a put-back by Kilah Freelon put Texas Tech ahead 53-48, which created enough separation to eventually as the Red Raiders pulled away for the victory.
Round 2
Game 5: No. 5 Kansas State 80, No. 13 UCF 65
Date/Time: 12:00 p.m. ET, March 6
TV: ESPN+
Kansas State kicked off its Big 12 Tournament run on Thursday with an 80-65 victory over UCF. In the win, Serena Sundell led the Wildcats with 21 points. However, Sundell wasn’t the only Wildcat with a hot hand. Kansas State scored 20 bench points against the Knights to advance to the quarterfinals.
Game 6: No. 9 Colorado 61, No. 8 Arizona 58
Date/Time: 2:30 p.m. ET, March 6
TV: ESPN+
On Thursday, Colorado picked up where it left off, securing an 61-58 win over Arizona. It was a comeback win for the Buffaloes, who trailed Arizona by 10 points with less than a minute left in the third quarter. Tabitha Betson led the charge for Colorado, notching a team-high 16 points and seven rebounds.
