2025 ATH Antonio Harris Talks Kentucky: ‘They Fly Around on Defense’

Antonio Harris has been hearing a lot from Kentucky since picking up an offer back in May.
The 6-foot, 170-pound athlete from Louisville Male (KY) told KSR+ that he is “most definitely” planning to visit for a Kentucky game this season.
“I’ve been getting a lot of mail from them,” Harris said. “They’re sending me posters and stuff, telling me I can come to games. It’s been nice.”
Growing up not too far from Lexington, Harris has already been on campus in Lexington multiple times, but never for a football trip.
“They compete, like to win, and have toughness,” he said. “I like the way they fly around on defense. I just like the environment inside and outside of the program.”
Harris is mainly hearing from Kentucky associate head coach Vince Marrow, but has also spoken with defensive backs coach Chris Collins on several occasions.
“Defensively, I feel like I’d fit in well,” Harris said. “From what I saw last year, Carrington [Valentine] and a lot of the DB’s made big plays and showed the SEC that Kentucky is going to be a powerhouse.”
Exploring His Options
Antonio Harris has a growing number of options available to him at the next level, already picking up offers from Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky, Purdue, and Louisville.
“Louisville is pushing heavy right now. Vanderbilt has been talking to me a little bit,” he said. “I’m just staying in touch with coaches to try and explore. Since everything is open now, I’m trying to explore. Coaches have been talking to me, so I’m trying to explore my options.”
Harris said he’s mainly hearing from the likes of Louisville, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, West Virginia, Cincinnati, and Miami of Ohio.
“It’s been good,” he said. “I’ve been getting a lot of phone calls and texts. It’s exciting to see where my future heads.”
As Harris navigates the recruiting process, he said he’s looking for a place that feels like home.
“A place that is welcoming, a place that likes to compete, a winning school, a place that likes to win, and a place with good coaches and a good community,” he said.
Antonio Harris’ Game
2025 athlete Antonio Harris of Louisville Male (Ky.) is currently unranked by On3, but rated as a three-star recruit from 247Sports.
“I’m a very physical corner and very much of a technician,” he said. “I’m fast and can be put anywhere to make plays.”
Heading into his junior year, Harris said he wants to show that he can tackle at a very high-level.
“This year is more of a season where I can show people that I can make plays on the ball, play defense, and make tackles,” he said.
As for Kentucky, Harris is anxious to get to Lexington for a visit.
“I’m excited to get down there for some games and see what Kentucky is all about,” he said.
