2025 4-star QB Deuce Knight is high on a trio of SEC schools

Lucedale (Miss.) George County four-star quarterback Deuce Knight experienced Alabama for the first time on June 10. It may have been his visit to Tuscaloosa but that’s all it took to leave a lasting impression on Knight
The 6-foot-4.5, 180-pound 2025 signal-caller picked up an offer from the Crimson Tide during that visit which immediately shot them into one of his top schools.
“It meant a lot to me because it’s Alabama,” Knight told On3. “Coach (Tommy) Rees is giving me a chance to play for one of the best coaches to ever coach college football in Coach (Nick) Saban. That’s a big-time offer.
“Now that I’ve got the offer, I’ve been up there and already know a lot about Alabama, I’m very interested in them. They’re high up on my list.”
Knight said that he talked a lot with Rees during the trip and that he was impressed meeting the Crimson Tide’s new offensive coordinator. Rees gave him tips for improving his game which is something Knight appreciated.
On top of that, he got a full tour of the facility and saw first-hand Alabama’s success since Saban took over.
“I liked that they’re the winners,” said Knight, the No. 28 player in the 2025 On300. “Everywhere you go in the facility, Coach Saban is going to let you know that they’re winners and that’s the goal. The standard is to best the player, the best person, all of that.
“You’re going to see rings, championships, the heisman trophies and what Alabama quarterbacks have done. The last three they’ve had went in the first round and the last four are starters in the NFL.”
Tennessee remains high for Knight following another visit
Knight hasn’t officially announced his top schools yet but mentioned that Alabama was up in the same tier now as the likes of Ole Miss, Notre Dame, TCU and Tennessee.
He was recently in Knoxville for what was his fourth visit to campus. Every time he goes back to see the Volunteers, Knight said he receives a lot of love from everyone in the facility.
One of the biggest factors in what’s drawn him to Tennessee so many times already is Volunteers head coach Josh Heupel.
“We talk like every week probably a few times a week and we’re both lefties too so he talks about that a lot,” Knight said. “He’s a got a big football background winning a national championship when he was in college and was a Heisman runner-up. He did everything I want to do in college too so it would be good to learn from him.
“The guys he’s had and developed stand out to me like Hendon Hooker. What he does on offense with the way they push the ball down the field and attack things, I like it a lot.
Ole Miss focused on keeping Knight home
Despite the love for Tennessee, it’s Ole Miss who currently holds the lead for Knight’s pledge according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).
Knight said that location isn’t a big deal for wherever lands but Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin has made it a priority in keeping him home.
“I’m very high on Ole Miss because of Coach (Lane) Kiffin and what he does on offense and the guys he’s produced and coached,” Knight added. “I know he likes to score a lot of points and take risks. I saw on Twitter something like ‘No head coach goes for it on fourth down more than Lane Kiffin’ so he likes to take a lot of risks and put trust in his players.”
