2024 DB Braylon Conley set to start USC OV, schedules four more official visits

There will be a handful of official visitors on campus at USC this weekend, marking the first visit weekend the Trojans host this year. Humble (Tex.) Atascocita three-star safety Braylon Conley will be among the group. This trip will be Conley’s second to Los Angeles, his first coming in April for the spring game.

Conley recently gave me a brief rundown on what he wants out of the visit.

“I’m really looking forward to it because my mom and sister were unable to make the unofficial [visit]. I want us to get a feel for everything as a family. I’m also looking forward to spending more time with Coach Donte [Williams] and Coach [Lincoln] Riley.”

Williams and Riley are the two major components of this recruitment, but there are others on the staff who are playing key roles. Conley has mentioned defensive analysts Taylor Mays and Bookie Radley-Hiles and defensive grad assistant Will Johnson.

Previously, the USC official was his only scheduled visit this summer. But Conley tells me will take official visits to Utah, Auburn, Washington, and Arkansas. He did not have the dates available to him at the time, but they will come this summer. (I will update when I receive dates)

On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM)

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound defensive back 7olds 31 total offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, USC is the leader to land a commitment from Conley. The Trojans sit at 29.8% odds to land him.

RPM was released to the public in December 2021. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college. 

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

NIL Valuation

Conley has an On3 NIL Valuation of $29K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
